Argh!!! I hate it when I scratch my oak furniture. I especially hate scratching my oak computer desk since I have to see and use it everyday. The good news is that it is pretty simple and easy to remove small scratches that are bound to happen. If you wipe your desk with a cloth, slightly moistened with a weak iodine liquid wax.
There also commercial liquid solutions to take care of your surface scratches. You can find these at your local hardware store. If you happen to get a really deep scratch or a deep chip, you might have to call in a restoration specialist to repair it.
Your oak desk is incredibly durable, but try not to abuse it too much.
